Viva Espana!!!

Came back yesterday, and I had the best moments since I've moved back to Europe! First of all, it was the end of October and there were 28 degrees for the entire time (mmm divided by 5 times 9 + 32...79 farheneit? anyhow, quite hot!) the perfect weather for us lost tourists!! The whole trip to get to Sevilla was one of the most stressfull..which should teach me to be more organized next time! I left my house at 6 am and realized there was no bus to the train station that early and if i took the metro i wouldn't have made it, so i called my stepmom who gave me a ride in her pj...thanks Véro! So nice of her! Once in Paris I had to take another train (the RER) to get to the airport...I jumped in one, asked if I was going in the right direction and a girl was like no, u have to take the other one! Alright, change train and ended up in the opposite direction (to learn: always trust yourself and never strangers!!!) Took me like an hour to get to the airport and i was sure that my flight was at 11 and i wasn't gonna make it..but once i checked again i realized my flight wasn't until 12!!! which it ended up being even late so i had no problem!!!!
Finally in Sevilla, once I saw Steph I started crying...my best best friend after 5 months!!! It was beautiful to hug her again, talk talk and talk, laugh together, remember old times...wow, it made me feel 10 times much happier than usual! We wondered around for the whole afternoon, found a very nice and cheap hostel for Raul and I, which was perfect except that was on the 3rd floor and each time we had to go back we needed to take a siesta cause those stairs were tiring;) especially after sangria!!! And yeah, Steph and I had sangria and it was my first time drinking with her...she's so funny! She gets all red...cute cute!
Then at night we ate chinese with her friends...I know, we're in Spain and we eat chinese, but it reminded me so much of our times in Mizzou! Then we went to smoke hookah (haha, back to our world;) and finally Raul got there and we finallly met at 12,30pm!!!! Sooooo cool to see him again! After Mizzou, NYC, Madrid and Milan...now we hung out in Sevilla! We decided we need a worldmap with pictures of us everywhere!
We all had a beer on the river, talked a lot and finally got home exausted! The next day Raul and I didn't get up until 12,30, we visited the beautiful Sevilla during the afternoon (I'll upload pictures soon, cause right now I can't find the little cable to connect my camera to the computer! gotta clean my desk soon!) and at night we met with Adi and Marjolein! Ah, another of those moments which made my weekend a beautiful dream! So surreal to see them in Spain after India! We all seemed so strange to each other with weastern clothes;) And the most random part was that another girl from Portugal (Ines) who was one of my housemate in Jaipur, was there as well with her ex-boyfriend!!! We ended up having dinner all together, and it was one of the most random tables of my life!
Then at night we went to Womex (world music exposition), where Adi had worked for the past days, and we saw a lot of very good musicians! A very good and romantic tango singer, an awesome algerial band, a girl from Turkey with such a powerful voice, and a french dj...really cool!
The next day we said goobye to everybody (which was sad but at the same time we know we'll see each other soon!) then Steph Raul and I got dangerous: we went to an internet café and made plans for new year's eve...ready for the headache? Raul has no flight problem since his parents work for an airline, but for Steph and me I found a flight at 65euros from Florence to Budapest on the 28th of December...we'll spend few days in Budapest, then on the 30th we take a bus to Vienna (3 hours, 28euros), we'll spend new year's eve and some extra days in Vienna, then on the 2nd we'll take a bus to Prague (4hours, 15euros), spend few days there and then come back on the 5th (Prague-Milan for 65euros!)
Budapest-Vienna-Prauge for less than 200euros, it will be awesome!!!! Whoever wants to join is welcome to contact me;) Ah, I'm so excited!!!
The rest of the time in Sevilla we shopped a bit (I couldn't find any real clothes, but I ended up buying a shirt that says "donde estas mi cerveza" which is really fun and a really cool pipe...useful stuff, eh?), we saw Steph's school, and then our last night Steph brought us to Plaza de Espana (which is gorgeous!!! a really cool square with a lot of light effects and a really suggestive atmosphere), followed by a nice park and this international something which reminded us a lot of a AIESEC global village! A lot of different little stands with stuff from different countries, and at the end some stands with food!!! We ended up eating (and drinking there!)...german beer, brasilian capirina, then indian greek and german food...really good! Then Steph went to her salsa class and Raul and I napped after the long stairs;) And afterwords we ended up in a centro cultural to watch flamenco, which comes from Andalusia, and it was really really good! Very powerful and not at all the frou-frou that you would have seen in a turistical place...this was the real thing in a really hidden place in a small dark street of Sevilla...once again, very suggestive!

Now I'm back to France, home alone and with a lot to study...luckly today is all saints day so and I don't have class so I can take it easy...I need some rest! I need to mention the last thing that made me high and gave me goosbumps: AIESEC Mizzou has signed a contract with a company to get a trainee in Columbia! I am soooo proud of the entire LC!! They're amazing, what they've done in one semester is incredible!

I'll upload pictures soon, both from my time with Yvon who came to visit in Lyon (we went out clubbing, partying, shopping, while I was in class she visited the city and during the weekend we went with my dad and stepmom to the Boujolais, a nice area covered by vineyards, just north of Lyon)

Time to get serious and study! Thanks for all the feedbacks, I love my friends (and the random people who somehow find my blog and enjoy reading it)!

Ale
